About Giving Tree Surrogacy

Giving Tree Surrogacy & Egg Donation is a for-profit, full-service surrogacy and egg donation agency based in Irvine, California. Founded in 2015, it works with intended parents, gestational surrogates and egg donors across the United States, and also takes on intended parents living abroad. Public business records list Vivien Liu as founder and chief executive, along with a program manager and marketing staff; third-party business data puts the team at roughly two dozen people. The agency's website describes more than 50 years of combined experience across its staff.

As a full-service program, the agency handles a journey end to end: screening and matching surrogates with intended parents, case management through the medical process and pregnancy, coordination of legal and escrow arrangements, and support for both sides along the way. Its in-house egg donation program means donor matching can be arranged through the same organization. Intended parents who are LGBTQ+, single, or based outside the United States are all served, while surrogates must live in the U.S. and meet citizenship or permanent-residency requirements.

According to material the agency supplies to industry directories, it can match intended parents in under 30 days and adds three to five pre-screened surrogates to its pool each week, and it cites recognition as one of the "Top Surrogacy Agencies of 2024" by Healthcare Business Review. The agency also lists an affiliation with Men Having Babies, an organization focused on gay intended parents.

Giving Tree publishes its fee structure, and it has been an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau since 2020 with an A+ rating. Surrogate eligibility criteria, compensation ranges, fees and accreditation details are summarized in the sections below.

I applied here and began the screening process, awaiting results from my meeting with one of the representatives of this agency. However I was contact back with an update that because I had two very early miscarriages from egg and sperm failure to meet properly, and followed up with IVF for gender selection funded by my company to ensure quicker pregnancy guarantee, that I am being denied to be a surrogate. I have completed a singleton and a twins pregnancy with absolutely 0 complications, fully natural delivery, no c section, and had absolutely no negative pregnancy experiences. My body as a host to provide a baby for a family is an ideal candidate. Not to mention my records with my fertility clinic indicate my peak fertility and ability to carry with ease, my first try implantation success, and the process to getting there which would actually HELP the surrogacy process in already knowing exactly how to make it perfect on the first try. I have two other surrogacies more than happy to move forward with me. I urge families reading this to consider these facts of my denial from surrogacy when considering using this agency to help create your family. If they can so easily deny a perfect health woman who is excited to use her body to provide for you, and has everything to prove more than peak ability to do so, then be careful of who they send you to work with .

I’m currently a surrogate working with Giving Tree Surrogacy and so far, my experience has been very positive. The team has been supportive, communicative, and helpful throughout the process. I appreciate having people who are available to answer my questions and guide me along the way. I’m grateful for the care and professionalism they’ve shown me, and I would recommend them to anyone considering surrogacy.

I couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible support I consistently receive from Alaina! Her communication is not only excellent, but I’ve never felt more supported and cared for. I’m forever grateful for being paired with such an amazing coordinator!

Alaina is the bomb.com. In fact, she was so epic at helping us with our first baby boy we asked if she could be maintained as our main POC and support for our second child, a baby girl! She is hyper responsive, and goes after the desired outcomes we need and want, without hesitation, and without moralizing around our desires. It’s been a pleasure working with Alaina; and, all the folks we have had to interact with through this enormous process agree with us about her awesomeness - especially our two surrogates helping to make our babies beautiful, strong, little humans. Thank you Alaina - and thank you Giving Tree for finding her!
