Hope Surrogacy, Inc., which operates as Hope Surrogacy, is a for-profit, full-service surrogacy agency based in Madison, Wisconsin. The agency describes itself as a boutique practice that matches and supports intended parents and gestational surrogates, with programs covering Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan. It also maintains a satellite office in Excelsior, Minnesota, and lists phone contacts for Illinois and Michigan.
The corporation was formed by Mary Murphey, LeeAnn Schulz and Amy Kothe, who are listed as co-owners and had each worked in the surrogacy field before launching the agency together. It remains a small, owner-operated organization with roughly five people on staff, so intended parents and surrogates typically work directly with the owners.
As a full-service agency, Hope Surrogacy handles matching and ongoing case management and support through the journey and after the birth. According to the agency, it works with intended parents nationally and internationally, including LGBTQ+ and single intended parents, while its gestational surrogates come primarily from Wisconsin and Minnesota; it does not work with surrogates outside the United States.
The agency publishes its program fees, and its fee and surrogate compensation ranges, along with eligibility requirements, appear in the tables below. Hope Surrogacy has been a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business since December 2017 and holds an A+ rating from the BBB. It is also listed in the professional directory of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and in the Men Having Babies Surrogacy Advisor provider directory.
Several surrogates and their partners, including repeat surrogates, describe close, continuing contact with the agency's owners across their journeys.

Reviewers are overwhelmingly positive about Hope Surrogacy, often describing a warm, knowledgeable team that offers close personal support from the first questions through delivery and beyond. Both surrogates and families mention frequent, timely communication, and several say they came back for repeat journeys. A minority of intended parent feedback raises concerns about delays and communication when the team moved over from a previous agency.

What can I say? Hope Surrogacy is out there changing the lives of others for the better. They have been a wonderful resource for me as a surrogate. From starting out--when I had a million questions to walking us through the journey to being there for me as a support after the baby was born. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend working with them!
View on Google (opens in a new tab)Hope provided us consistently personable, proactive communication throughout our entire journey. They were generous with their time every step, leap, and hurdle along the way. Their emotional intelligence is as high as their level of professionalism. And their professional network was top notch (health, legal, insurance, counseling, etc). We can't say enough good things about Hope!
View on Google (opens in a new tab)I just finished my second surrogacy journey with Hope. Amy, LeeAnn, & Mary always have greeted me with the biggest smiles and guided me with confidence. I have nothing but positive feed back. The one thing that made my journey smooth was the great communication. I am honestly thinking about continuing working with Hope for one more surrogacy journey.
