Folkstory Surrogacy is a boutique, full-service surrogacy agency based in Indianapolis, Indiana. It coordinates gestational surrogacy journeys for intended parents, handling the arrangements that carry a match from first contact through the course of a pregnancy.
The agency is small by design. Mary Kate Coleman is the owner and the sole listed coordinator, and according to its website the practice keeps a deliberately limited caseload so that one person stays with each family and surrogate throughout. The agency says it responds quickly to messages, including on weekends, and it presents that hands-on, single-point-of-contact approach as its main distinction rather than journey volume or published outcome statistics.
Folkstory states no citizenship requirement, and it explicitly welcomes immigrants, including DACA recipients, among the intended parents it works with. Its detailed eligibility criteria appear in the table further down this page, along with its fee range, which the agency publishes on its own site.
Alongside the agency work, Folkstory runs a digital storytelling project and weekend storytelling workshops for the infertility community, inviting people who have built families in nontraditional ways, or who are still trying to, to record and share their own accounts. That project sits at the center of how the agency describes its purpose and its name.
