About Hatch Egg Donation & Surrogacy

Hatch Fertility, also known as Hatch Egg Donation & Surrogacy, is a for-profit egg donation and surrogacy agency based in Los Angeles, California. It was established in 1991 and previously operated under the name The Egg Donor & Surrogacy Program; the agency describes itself as the first egg donor agency in the United States. Some older review records are still filed under the earlier name.

The agency works as a full-service program, matching intended parents with screened egg donors and gestational surrogates and coordinating the steps of a journey from screening and matching through legal agreements and medical appointments. According to its website, it offers a fixed-fee, all-inclusive "Peace of Mind Program" with a "Guaranteed Birth Plan." Published fee information, surrogate compensation ranges, and detailed eligibility requirements for gestational carriers appear further down this page.

Hatch serves domestic and international intended parents, including LGBTQ+ and single parents. The agency says more than half of the families it works with are LGBTQ+, and it is listed in the Men Having Babies Surrogacy Advisor provider directory. Surrogates it works with must live in the United States and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

The agency operates alongside Pacific Fertility Center of Los Angeles, a partner clinic. The same executive, Greg Wiles, is listed as president of both organizations, and the two share a Wilshire Boulevard address in different suites. One staff biography in the Men Having Babies directory describes a program director who has been with the agency roughly 15 years, while the president joined in 2020.

Kate was absolutely amazing throughout my entire surrogacy journey. She truly went above and beyond every step of the way and made me feel supported, heard, and cared for throughout the entire process. She was always quick to answer my questions, no matter how big or small, and I could always count on her to be there when I needed guidance or reassurance. Her communication, kindness, patience, and dedication made such a positive difference in my experience. I am incredibly grateful to have had Kate as my case manager and could not have asked for anyone better to be by my side during such an important journey. -Lorena

I am currently on my second journey as a gestational carrier with international IPs through Hatch. I have had such a wonderful experience with Kate as my case manager both times! To be completely honest, if this wasn't my sixth pregnancy and I wasn't aging out I would do it again just because the experience has been so positive. Their communication and personable approach has made me feel so incredibly comfortable at every stage. I feel more human than ever having experienced their compassion and humility about what it means to be human and be pregnant. There are so many gross, raw, and vulnerable moments and Kate made me feel comfortable and welcome to share all of them. She (and Hatch) are phenomenal and I HIGHLY recommend their services.
