About West Coast Surrogacy (WCS)

West Coast Surrogacy, Inc., which also goes by West Coast Surrogacy or WCS, is a for-profit, full-service gestational surrogacy agency based in California. It lists offices in Aliso Viejo, Beverly Hills, Sacramento and Irvine, and the company is currently in active status.

The agency was founded by Amy Stewart, whom it describes as a former egg donor and gestational surrogate, and its Program Staff page presents a multidisciplinary team led by her. According to the agency, it operates as a boutique practice that matches intended parents with gestational surrogates and coordinates the journey from application through delivery, including surrogate screening, coordination with fertility clinics, legal and contract guidance, and administration of surrogate compensation and benefits. Third-party comparison pages describe one assigned case manager per journey.

West Coast Surrogacy works with intended parents who are LGBTQ+ and with intended parents living outside the United States; agency-published testimonials include international clients who describe working with a case manager largely by email. Surrogates apply from within the United States, and the agency asks that they be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, have had at least one prior pregnancy, be raising a child in their own home, and not smoke. Full eligibility criteria and compensation ranges appear in the tables below, along with published program fees.

Across reviews on several platforms, as well as testimonials published by the agency, surrogates and intended parents commonly describe regular contact with an assigned intake coordinator or case manager who kept them updated as the process moved forward.

The Better Business Bureau accredited West Coast Surrogacy in April 2008 and gives it an A+ rating. Its BBB profile lists the Aliso Viejo headquarters and an Irvine office. The agency publishes its fee structure on its website, westcoastsurrogacy.com.

My entire experience from Morgan the intake coordinator, to Debbie my case manager, to delivery, was a dream. They are so fun to work with! Debbie helped me each step of the way. I was never left in the dark and never felt alone. Thank you for helping me give a family the ultimate gift.

We initially used the services of West Coast Surrogacy to have our first child in 2022 and they then assisted us with our second daughter who was born earlier this year (2025). We'd split the services we received from them into two parts - firstly sourcing a surrogate and then secondly providing support and assistance as you progress with trying to get pregnant and having a baby. In both respects it is difficult to think of any aspect of what they did which we were not 100% happy with. Similarly I can't think of anything I would reasonably have liked them to have done for us which they didn't. Our surrogate and her family were lovely people with whom we had a brilliant relationship with throughout. We found that west coast did a great job of managing the introduction and then helping the parties enter into a formal legal relationship. We were provided with introductions to professionals (lawyers for example) who seemed well versed in the process making it quick, smooth and painless for us. Once we had everything agreed with the surrogate we were then allocated an individual (D) who provided support and assistance with the remainder of the process from start to finish. We found the help D provided to be excellent and invaluable. She just made it all so easy for us......liaising with our surrogate, updating us on her medical appointments, chasing any third parties dragging their feet, making helpful suggestions and reminders about what we needed to do..... to come with just a few things that she helped with. Essentially we found that D freed us of any responsibility or concern about managing the process or thinking about what we needed to do when - we just read her emails which kept us informed, did the things she asked us to do promptly (and if we didn't you always got a helpful and polite email from D reminding you to), and before we knew it we were back home with two children raising a family! I honestly can't think of anything West Coast could have done to be more professional and helpful or improve the service that they provided.

Well it happened, we have a beautiful baby girl!!! The process is just so hard and long and complicated and while I have no other agencies to compare it to, the case coordinator is the person that makes the difference. Make sure to focus on that when you are looking for an agency. Amy was ours and she was patient and thoughtful and encouraging through the experience. Again, it is a hard process so to have great support is what makes all of the difference!

I just finished my first surrogacy journey with West Coast Surrogacy. Being a surrogate with them has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life! From the first moment, I knew I was in good hands. West Coast Surrogacy isn't just an agency; they're a family. They treated me with respect, empathy, and genuine care every step of the way. From the initial application process to post-delivery support, their team was there for me, offering guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support. Matching with intended parents felt like destiny! West Coast Surrogacy took the time to understand my preferences, values, and hopes for the surrogacy journey, ensuring that I was paired with the perfect match. The connection my husband and I shared with the Intended Parents was remarkable, and it made the entire experience even more meaningful. Throughout the pregnancy, my coordinator, Amy Benes, was my rock. She provided me with all the resources I needed, answered my questions promptly, and checked in on me regularly. Knowing that I had someone to turn to whenever I needed support gave me peace of mind and made the journey feel less daunting. Being a surrogate with West Coast Surrogacy has changed my life in ways I never imagined. Knowing that I played a part in helping a family grow and witnessing the joy and love they now share is an experience I will cherish forever. If you're considering becoming a surrogate, I cannot recommend West Coast Surrogacy enough!
