About YFA

Your Fertility Advocate, also known as YFA, is a for-profit surrogacy agency headquartered in California. The agency describes itself as a boutique, full-service program founded by Megan Edgecumbe, and says on its website that it maintains offices in Los Angeles, Texas, and New York. It is a small operation, with a team of roughly five people.

As a full-service agency, YFA says it matches surrogates with intended parents and coordinates the journey from that point onward, handling the practical and administrative work that runs alongside medical treatment. Because the agency works nationwide, matches are not limited to the states where its offices are located, though it works only with surrogates who live in the United States and who are citizens or hold a valid green card or work permit. Detailed eligibility requirements, including the states it does not accept surrogates from, appear in the table further down this page.

The founder's professional history indicates the agency has been operating since 2018. Ownership has remained unchanged in recent years.

YFA publishes its fees, so intended parents can see program costs before making contact; those figures, along with the range of compensation the agency lists for surrogates, are summarized below rather than repeated here. Intended parents and surrogates who want to know more about how matching and case coordination work day to day can find that information through the agency's website.

Truly the best humans. We would not have our daughter and son if not for YFA. They are truly one of a kind. We were cared for every step of the way, as was surrogate.

This agency gives off ick-vibes. The owner Megan is very social media hungry and it’s very weird especially the video of her and the GC showing up at the IPs door to “surprise” them and shove a camera in their face. Very off putting. There’s a whole thread in the surro groups about the weird vibes this agency gives. Unprofessional and filled with drama. She’ll probably try to have this review taken down she doesn’t like it when actual people have actual negative feelings towards her ick agency

My journey as a surrogate with this agency has been an incredibly positive and rewarding experience. Megan, along with the case managers and the entire team, are truly compassionate and dedicated professionals who go above and beyond to support everyone they work with. From the very beginning, I felt supported, respected, and genuinely cared for. I am so thankful to be part of such an outstanding agency. For anyone considering becoming a surrogate, I wholeheartedly recommend this team—they make the entire experience meaningful and well-supported from start to finish.
