American Surrogacy is a full-service surrogacy agency based in Overland Park, Kansas, with a second Kansas office in Kansas City. According to its website, it works with intended parents and surrogates nationwide, and its locations page lists a number of additional addresses across the country. It is structured as a not-for-profit organization.
The agency is the surrogacy arm of American Adoptions, an adoption agency also based in Overland Park; both organizations describe themselves as sister companies and share the same headquarters building. Staffing across the two organizations is in the range of roughly 50 to 200 people.
As a full-service agency, American Surrogacy handles matching between intended parents and gestational carriers along with case management and support throughout the journey, and escrow is administered in-house rather than through an outside escrow company. The agency does not offer an egg donor program. Its services are open to LGBTQ+ intended parents, single parents, and intended parents living outside the United States.
Surrogate applicants are asked to meet requirements covering age, BMI, prior pregnancy and delivery history, parenting a child at home, and not smoking; those criteria, along with the agency's published fee information and the compensation range it advertises for surrogates, appear in the tables below. American Surrogacy publishes its program costs on its website.

My experience with this agency was from 2024-2025. I ended up getting matched with a great couple, had a successful first transfer, but, ultimately, baby girl didn't make it to full term. Although it wasn't the outcome we wanted, American Surrogacy was consistently supportive and involved. I chose to not start another journey but sincerely do not regret going through this process or choosing this agency. Thank you American Surrogacy. *PS: Tasha Fletcher was amazing. You're lucky to have her. 10/10⭐️
View on Google (opens in a new tab)Wonderful agency, made the process of becoming a surrogate such a breeze. Katie guided me through everything, and was available for any questions I had. Wonderful staff, through the whole process. They connected me with such a beautiful family, and they now have their beautiful baby boy. Highly recommend American Surrogacy for any possible surrogates or intended families.
View on Google (opens in a new tab)Katie is the most wonderful person. The company is great, they care about what they are doing for people and they do a great job. Everything is well thought out and planned ... well taken care of and they make sure the people they are serving are well taken care of as well. But Katie........ she does so much! She's always available when you need her and incredibly kind and helpful. I don't have enough words that describe Katie. I'm really glad she was the one helping me the entire journey through! Katie and American surrogacy are what makes me think about being a surrogate again.
