Shared Conception, LLC is a for-profit surrogacy agency based in Texas, with offices in Houston and Dallas. According to its website, it was founded in 2011 by Shiva Landry, who is described as holding an MBA and as having previously worked in the medical field and in business. The team is small, in the range of half a dozen people.
The agency describes itself as a boutique, full-service practice that works exclusively with gestational surrogacy. In that model it handles the matching of gestational surrogates with intended parents and coordinates the arrangement between them, rather than acting only as a referral service. It does not run an egg donor program, so intended parents needing donor eggs would arrange that elsewhere.
Shared Conception says it works with intended parents living in the United States and internationally, and that its program is open to heterosexual couples, gay and lesbian couples, and single intended parents, across all races, religions and ethnic backgrounds.
Prospective surrogates apply under the agency's own screening criteria, which include minimum and maximum age, a body mass index limit, and at least one prior pregnancy. Those requirements, along with compensation and fee information on file, appear in the tables further down this page.

Had a wonderful experience with Shared Conception. They were able to quickly find me a match with the most wonderful surrogate, and were super helpful with all of the steps along the way. I would definitely recommend using them! The entire process can be tough, yet special on its own, and they walk you through every step of the way. Beth and Shiva are so nice and check up on you often as well. We ended up having our first baby using them and look forward to the next!

The entire process was smooth and I enjoyed that people knew who I was, and that I was not just another number. I really enjoyed the closeness, responsiveness and would recommend them to anyone looking into becoming a surrogate.
