Adoption and Surrogacy Choices of Colorado is the operating name of Adoption Choices, Inc., a nonprofit organization whose primary work is adoption and which also runs a gestational surrogacy program matching surrogates with intended parents. According to its own materials, it assists birth parents, children and adoptive parents in Colorado, and describes itself as a private, nonprofit adoption agency. Christy Ikeler is listed as Executive Director.
The organization works from offices in Golden, Colorado Springs and Denver, and serves families within Colorado. Publicly visible staff include in-house legal counsel and an office manager and paralegal, both with the organization for several years. It maintains two websites, adoptionchoices.org and coloradoadoptions.org, with largely overlapping staff and program information.
The surrogacy program is described as full service, covering the steps from matching through the arrangement itself, and an egg donor program is also offered. Intended parents who are LGBTQ+ and those pursuing parenthood as single people are welcomed. Surrogates are expected to be U.S. citizens living in the United States; the agency does not work with surrogates based outside the country.
Fees for intended parents are published by the organization, and the surrogate compensation range, along with health, pregnancy history and lifestyle requirements for applicants, appears in the tables further down this page. The organization is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and its BBB profile is filed under the legal name Adoption Choices, Inc.
Because adoption remains the core of its practice, the surrogacy program sits alongside a longer-running adoption service, and some of the organization's published testimonials come from adoptive rather than intended parents.

The CORE training through Adoption Choices of Colorado was outstanding. It was exceptionally well organized, engaging, and made excellent use of the in-person format. Instead of covering material that could have been learned independently, the training brought in guest speakers, fostered meaningful discussion among attendees, and gave us plenty of opportunities to ask thoughtful questions and receive knowledgeable, nuanced answers. The presentations and conversations introduced important perspectives that have already shaped how my partner and I are approaching our adoption journey. I left feeling better informed, more prepared, and grateful for the experience. Don't hesitate, you have a great weekend ahead of you!

Everyone we've worked with has been so kind, and their years of experience have really put us at ease throughout the process. We recently completed our CORE training, and Christy gave us so much helpful guidance on evaluating matches and preparing our profile. It made us feel a lot more confident moving forward. They provide great resources and are always available when we have questions. We feel like we're in very good hands with Adoption and Surrogacy Choices of Colorado, and we'd recommend them to anyone starting this journey.
View on Google (opens in a new tab)Super helpful CORE training to introduce us to other parents looking to adopt and the educational lessons were eye-opening. This was a great two-day course to grow our community and also ask challenging questions with those who are in similar situations. We also learned many useful skills to caring for a baby that I hadn't learned before. Many of our friends who had biological kids have commented how useful a course like this would have been for them before they had kids. By far the most impactful part was listening to the stories of a birth mother and adoptive mother. Their first hand experiences were incredibly powerful.
