Surrogacy 365 is a for-profit international assisted-reproduction agency rather than a clinic. It describes itself as coordinating cross-border surrogacy and gamete donation by working with local facilitators, fertility clinics and lawyers in a number of countries, acting as the intermediary that organizes a program rather than providing medical care itself.
According to the agency's own About pages, the operation began as Global Surrogacy Ltd, registered as an international third-party reproduction company in Dubai in November 2013. It says it moved its seat to the United States in 2018 and partnered with the Delaware-based company MAHRTA LLC in order to meet the legal requirements to operate from American territory, and that the trade name Surrogacy 365 was adopted in July 2019. Ownership has otherwise remained the same through that rebrand.
Day-to-day contact for Spain and the wider EU runs through the company's CEO and senior case manager for that region, Carlos Alberto Leiva Signes. The team described on the agency's site is small, with roles covering direction and international legal coordination and coordination with surrogates and egg donors, alongside what it calls the international team of MAHRTA LLC.
The agency works with intended parents internationally, including LGBTQ+ intended parents and single parents, and it works with surrogates and egg donors outside the United States as well. An egg donation program is offered as part of its services. Its Spain-facing pages state that surrogacy is not permitted in Spain, and market embryo transport and programs carried out in other jurisdictions, among them the United States, Canada, Georgia, Armenia, Cyprus and Northern Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Colombia, Albania and Ukraine. The agency says it has no office of its own in Colombia and refers clients there to a local partner agency.
