Vermont Surrogacy Network, LLC is a full-service, for-profit surrogacy agency based in St. Albans, Vermont. Founded in 2014, it matches intended parents with gestational carriers and guides both sides through the surrogacy process from screening and matching to the end of the journey. The agency is led by founder and director Jes Stumpf, a former gestational surrogate, working with a small team that includes a nurse with a background in third-party reproductive cycle coordination who joined full time in 2021.
According to the agency, it serves families throughout Vermont, New England, and internationally, aiming to provide an ethical, affordable, and supportive environment in which intended parents and gestational carriers are matched and supported. It works with LGBTQ+ intended parents and with intended parents living outside the United States; on its directory profile, the agency says it has served more than 127 families since 2014, including clients from abroad.
Vermont Surrogacy Network says it screens both intended parents and gestational carriers and places weight on making sure everyone involved understands how gestational surrogacy works. It describes keeping the process personal through video conferencing along with in-person interviews and consultations, rather than handling matching and preparation at a distance.
The agency publishes its fees, and its criteria for gestational carriers — including age, BMI, prior pregnancy and cesarean history, and U.S. citizenship or legal residency — are set out in the eligibility and fee details further down this page, along with surrogate compensation ranges.
AI summary of 32 reviews · can make mistakes
Most reviewers describe a warm, personal experience, often mentioning responsive communication, careful step-by-step guidance and thoughtful matching of surrogates with intended parents. Several surrogates and parents say they returned for another journey. A cluster of critical reviews, mostly from people who do not appear to be clients, objects to how the agency described a severe pregnancy-related condition when declining an applicant, and a few reviewers were unhappy with fees and follow-up.

I can’t say enough incredible things about Vermont Surrogacy Network. From start to finish, they made the entire process feel smooth, organized, and stress-free. They were so easy to work with—always responsive, kind, and truly dedicated. What meant the most to me was how supported and valued they made me feel every step of the way. They took the time to keep me informed, educated, and confident in the process, which made such a difference. If you’re considering surrogacy, I highly recommend them. They genuinely care and go above and beyond to make sure you feel important and supported throughout the journey.
View on Google (opens in a new tab)I loved VSN (as an IP) and could not recommend them enough. They are a small agency located in Vermont and focused on more local matches, and we loved their vibe. It was important to us to have someone in New England so we could go to appointments and feel involved in the process. It took only 4 months from getting on the waitlist to sending us our first profile. They were very familiar with our fertility clinic and sent us someone who they were very confident would be approved by them. We matched with the first profile they sent, and we couldn't have pictured a better match. They really try to get to know their surrogates and their IP's to make sure that everyone is really aligned and are on the same page. VSN walked us through each step and were very knowledgeable. I always felt comfortable asking questions and got answers quickly. After the transfer, they checked in often to make sure everything was going well. I really felt cared for and important throughout this whole journey with them! Highly recommend!!
View on Google (opens in a new tab)A woman typing this review ignore the name. I could have passed from having HG. I was in the hospital. None of the medication worked. No fluids not able to eat drink or sleep. What do you think happens to a person when they go through that????! Wow is all I’ll say your email made my blood boil. Do some research please. Talk to people who’ve experienced it look at those who have passed from it. Better yet maybe walk in the shoes of one who has HG and then make an ignorant stance on it. Edit to add to the response there was nothing negative nor hostile about my review. If that’s how you feel then that’s on you I guess. Text is plain. No one likes to be told they are wrong. I just am responding due to a email from Vermont surrogacy network that HG isn’t life threatening and I highly disagree. Thank you.
View on Google (opens in a new tab)DO RESEARCH ON HYPEREMESIS GRAVIDARUM! HG is life threatening! Many women with HG are forced to terminate because the symptoms are so bad. There was a woman who took her own life from the effects of HG. Those with proven HG should be considered for medically necessary surrogacy.
